Tractor is all cleaned up and ready for more work on Monday. Some of the parts I know of that are coming from me are blasted, painted, and ready.
I just recently found out one of my neighbors cleans buildings, houses, etc. He came up today and made everything clean again and did a nice job. The cleaners continue to clean and after a few rains it will get even better, he did a nice job. If I knew how cheap these guys were I would have had him do it long ago, he did give me a really good discount too.

Everything is going great here, just busy as usual. Still working and trying to do a little clean up after the monsoon from Hurricane Helene last weekend, and I think the grass has grown up to around 9-10" since last weekend. We got well over 12" of rain here, 12" rain gauges were full so I'm not sure what the total was. I put in a few pics of it, you can barely make out the cars on the highway. It rained like that for most of 2 days...
Someone also called and picked up the 2 Amana PTAC units I had on CL today. The hole is temporary sealed inside and out. My friend Kevin is coming up this weekend so fixing it permanently will be one of the things we do. Now I need to order another mini split for the waiting area and get everything ready for it. Never a lack of things to do around here...

Been too busy to keep an eye on the construction across the street today. My last customer just left that picked up his 520 that got a ton of work done to it, and he bought my last WH truck as well. I did a bunch of rearranging and got it out last Sat for him. Like with the other one we will be restoring it later, he just didn't want it to get away.
Also rebuilding my old trusty coil framing nailer. It acted up in 2003 and I ordered a complete kit to rebuild it back then but by the time the kit got here it straightened itself out. So here we are a little over 21 years later finally using the rebuild kit. You can see the dates from August 2003 on the parts and the box they came in. Good thing it sat around here for so long I guess, all the parts are made in USA.

My friend Kevin came up last Sat and we put the new mini split in the waiting area that came in last week. Most of today was cleaning up the mess, finishing up some odds + ends on it, caulking everything up, and spray foaming the metal that filled the old hole outside. It's all done minus getting rid of the old hole in the inside wall. It's nice because it puts out a lot of heat and it's so quiet I can't even tell when it's on minus a nice warm breeze if I'm at the computer.

Spent last Sat working on a log splitter for someone, then moved a lot of wood the neighbor wanted gone. I used the new forks for the Kubota that go on the bucket, they made moving this stuff to the blacktop to put on pallets a lot easier. They also work well for other things that won't fit in the bucket, or working off of the blacktop. The wood on the pallets is all hardwood that they had plans to use but never did due to health issues. It was all free so I'll keep some of it and cut a lot of it down to 18" pieces for firewood.

Working, eating, sleeping, cleaning, the usual stuff...
There's a lot of rain coming in tonight and tomorrow morning so I've been working on getting the hardwood pile cut up and put away today. The 2 small pallets are done and some off of the bigger pallet. The big pallet is going to make a lot more of it than I thought but that's ok, it will be a lot of heat.
There's a lot in the small garage and a pretty nice pile going on in the shop. I brought what I was working on around dark to unload in the morning. I figured I can burn it in the mornings to warm up the place more without using the mini split so much.

Worked outside most of the day, looks like it may be the last 65 degree day for awhile. More rain coming in tonight and cold for awhile so I worked on cutting up the hardwood on the big pallet outside. There's still about 1/3 of it left to do. A friend brought me some Ash that's in the wood rack but it's not very good so I've been burning it at night to get rid of it, ease the electric bill, and make room for the hardwood pieces. It should be all burned and gone in the next 2-3 days then I can unload the pallet that was cut up today in it's place.
My radial arm saw blade is about done but it should make it through the rest of this then I can change it.
