Big Sale Is On - UPDATED 03-36-26
The Big Sale is on but not like originally planned, it is a by appointment type of thing now. Be sure to call before you come to make sure the day isn't already full with peeps scheduled to come in, and make sure what you want is still available.

There have been a few more thunderstorms, monsoons, and flooding in the past few weeks but it looks like it may clear up a little next week, it should, tomorrow is June after all...
Today was nice, 77 and sunny so some more lot rearranging was done and a couple more partial tractors brought in to part out. Being outside in nice weather is the best. Maybe I can get out the steam cleaner and do some parts + such next week.

Cleaning up and doing some more rearranging, as always.
The frames left from all the parting got put on a pallet + put outside, and a lot of other parts put where they belong. The goal was to get the little fast + furious Cavalier on the center rack to make more room. It sure looked familiar but at the same time weird to see the rack down. The same goes for the clean spot where the Cavalier was.
I also needed the last mini split out from under the rack to possibly put in next Sat June 21. It's been sitting there for a little over 3 months, I think I'm a little too busy... My friend Kevin was here last Sat (June 7) and helped me get the grinding bench put on wheels and roll it away from the wall so I could get ready to install it. I need to get going on all the inside stuff next week so he can get the outside unit done and do all of his normal HVAC stuff to get it running. That will make room for another tractor in here lol.

Been doing some misc work in the shop and getting ready inbetween for the last mini split to go in the shop this Sat. The metal is down where it's going and the top piece cut for the bracket. Like the other one back there the bottom piece will be removable if I ever need to get to the lines or wiring while leaving the head unit mounted to make things easy. The worst part was getting one of the 6/3 wire runs from the one of the old package units to where it needs to be by myself. It's twice the size than needed but it's already up there and run to the main breaker box, plus it was bought and paid for 30 years ago when it was pretty cheap.
Looking at the last pic I think it's about time to clean the walls again soon, like I need more to do...

Kev couldn't make it Sat, his nephew was being deployed and wanted to see him before he left. His nephew didn't know where to, but we all figured somewhere in the Middle East due to the Iran stuff.
I finished up the bracket Friday, got the wireless in the unit, the control cable wired in and routed, then got the wire wired up in the breaker box with a smaller breaker this morning that was disconnected. I think Kev is coming up this Sat to help me finish it up.
Last Sat I actually took the day off and went to Lexington, first time I took a day off during the week in many many many years. Went to my fav car wash over there, got some Sbarro Pizza in the Mall food court, wandered around the Mall for awhile, then went to Culvers for some ice cream and ate it outside at a table while enjoying the awesome weather. It sure was nice, I need to do that a little more often.

Kev came up and we got the last mini split in and working. I finished up the cleanup from the mess we made and got everything put back where it belongs today so that was nice.
I had my tint shop come out and redo the CTS today, it was tinted when I bought it 13 years ago but it has gotten worse and bubbled up on the rear window over time. Plus it was never dark enough for me. Minus the front doors being 20% now it has 5% everywhere including the sunroof and front window strip. The pics have the back seat and deck out, the sunroof open, shop lighting going inside from the trunk being open, and interior lights on. Once it's all back together and closed up it's gonna be pretty dark, oops. State law here is no more than 35% on the front doors, the rest isn't a problem. I hope I don't get in trouble but I don't go out very much either...

What a week so far...
Monday I talked to peeps about fixing things and when to bring tractors to get worked on. In between the peeps I finished up cleaning the shop and getting everything back to where it belonged after the last mini split. The mini split had been sitting in the shop for over 3 months... My tint guy was also here redoing all of the CTS tint.
Tuesday was a crazy day, peeps hanging out waiting up to 3 hours to talk to me until bed time. It drives me crazy when that happens, I really like one at a time but it is what it is. One came from SC and wanted a basic rock shaft kit, slot hitch, some accessories for it and some other things. Right when I thought we were done he asked about a dozer blade and all the hookups. I was like I have about 60 of them and he opted for a really nice used one which was fine. Problem was they were all buried with stuff in the small garage from all kinds if things sandwiched in there between the Kubota and blades. He and his son helped me get one out, it still took about 30 mins with three of us. I had no idea these peeps were coming, they just showed up.
Another one wasn't from too far away and said he could come back but he ended up chatting with another peep here and said he could wait. He just needed a 1-1/8" axle hub and locks. That one wasn't so bad.
Another one was one we scheduled a time, but he said he could stay all afternoon if need be, that took a load off. He has a 1988 414-8 he bought new that needs a lot of mechanical work, wiring work, and an engine rebuild. He is scheduled to bring it next Friday.
There were plenty of phone calls as well, the proverbial icing on the cake...
Yesterday I had a ton of things to do as well. Putting more parts away, a little other work, going to the chiropractor, bank, insurance agent, grocery shopping, and eating my weekly (or longer most of the time) meal out. After that was cleaning up the mess from the CTS retinting and cleaning the rear seats, deck + panels so I can put it back together, when I get a minute of course.
Today wasn't too bad but all of my spare time was spent moving a lot of stuff from the farm shoved the small garage that actually belongs in the 4 car garage over there. Everything is moved but I'm gonna do more organizing in there tomorrow. At least I can get to the dozer blades now. I really need to quit this 11 or more hours a day stuff (again) but there's just way way too much to do including getting the big sale thing ready that I've been putting off.
On a sort of bright note I did tell some peeps no, or not until next month to other work this week. The list is just too long already...
