I've had a few calls for new rear hitch pins and a few asked about them on tractors I restored for them where they are beat up. I'm running low on my NOS ones so I guess it's time for some.
Not the midgets again. You think I need a sign on the door going into the shop saying no midgets allowed ?
I can get 36 of them out of a 20' long rod and I have 60' of rod in stock. I'm just making 10 to put in the store and see how they do. The adjustable micro stop makes it nice to cut a lot of the same size pieces fast and easy. I have to mark each one at the welding shop and the consistency isn't perfect and no where near as fast as this one is.
I spent a lot more time making a tool to cut these grooves but it's because I cut it from a Latrobe 1/2" HSS Crusader block, it should last for a very long time. This groove is a little wider and deeper than the 3/8 rod and there is a lot more material to be cut. I also dug out another project I've had on the list for awhile and hope to finish this year, but it's not at the top of the list lol.
Well I came in this morning and everything was set up for the lift lever so I decided to start on a dozen of them. It made sense to do all this 3/4 rod stuff at once and save some time. Now it's groovin time lol.
