Pics of the RJ parted out.  Most of it came apart super easy minus the front steering rod was froze up.  I think someone had plans to restore it when I bought it because half of it including the rear hubs came off by hand.  Only 1 piece was froze up and the rest was easy, a nice change.

I got an early start today and the barn at the farm is empty.  One more thing off the list.

All the recent parting of things posts in here will be moved to the "Big Move" topic in the WH Tractor section soon so I can find them more easily later.  That way I can just look at pics to know some of what parts have been recently added around here in case I forget...

Everything having to do with the move and associated tractors from the "What's Everybody Doing" topic has been moved here.  The topic has also been renamed "The Big Move + Parting" to reflect the posts in here.

Now this little venture will be easier for me and everyone else to keep up with.

Mondays are always super busy but one more is apart.  I had originally planned to do a frozen up RJ frame but needed a break from the frozen up stuff so I pushed it out of the way and did a nice looking 64 Lawn ranger frame instead.  It wasn't too bad except on these the steering rod goes through the welded on frame tower.  It was still a breeze compared to some of the stuff done here lately...

There were some more of the same pedals in a pile on the rack/shelf so since I knew one thing they fit they all got blasted.  One of them has an extra piece welded on I need to cut off, who knows what it was for.  I am quickly running out of room in the parts dept since all of these blasted parts are going back there and are organized by part number.  I can still add shelves back there but it would be a major undertaking rearranging all of the parts bins so they still go by ascending part number.  That will be another job for another time, for now they will just get piled up in the bins where they belong.

Good thing is more stuff is getting rounded up from other places all over and put together where they belong.  I may eventually even know what all is here and where to find it.

Found a few more pedals that didn't need steam cleaning this morning so they got blasted along with a few other things, pedalmania lol.   The rest of the morning was spent getting part numbers on parts that I knew what they came off of.  Now I can compare them to other parts and put numbers on them as well.  Too bad everything doesn't have numbers on them like the cast iron stuff does.  So far every part but 3 of them are NLA.

I also brought a tractor back in that was in here the other day.  The steering was froze up, that made it where I couldn't push it around in the lot with the new steering wheel setup kept on the forklift now so it got unfrozen.  While it was in here it got the stirrups, pedal, and deck belt stuff off of it.  One axle and the stirrups had to get cherry red before they would move, worst ones so far but they're off.

It has a frozen up slot hitch on it as well so it will get tackled tomorrow.

I got everything I wanted off for now on the one from yesterday minus the slot hitch, it's being a real pain.  BTW that tractor is a 68 Commando 8.  The slot hitch is free but it's still stuck in the rearend, even after an extreme amount of heat.  It's gonna to soak overnight and see what happens.

I brought in a 1056 with the front end stuck to free up.  A pipe on the right axle got it moving most of the way without any heat, the left axle was free.  The rest of that one is in really nice shape minus some surface rust.  I think if it soaks overnight it will steer good again.

The Commando 8 even after the heat + soaking didn't work, the hitch still had to be cut off, but at least its off.     The steering is free and the oil pan + battery box is off since the rest of the tractor is going back outside for now.  The pin is still stuck in the rearend but it will be a job for later, too many other things to do...

The steering is free on the 1056 and I figured it was a good time to take the slot hitch off of it since it was still closeby.  The pin came loose in the rearend but stuck in the slot, it started to move then something went south and the slot hitch started to spread.  Come to find out the rearend and left side was loose but the right side stuck.  It got the right side of the pin cut off, the pin pulled, then the piece on the right side pressed out.  After that the slot was heated and moved a little back where it belongs, first time for that...  Lastly it was blasted + checked all over to make sure it survived and all is good.

The reason I needed the 1056 to steer is because of where it goes (last 2 pics).  It's the one closest to the garage on the inside first row.  The group of 65-69 long frames are all grouped together closest to the 4 car garage walk door.  They all had to roll well + steer because I can't get the forklift in there with all the tractors up here.

The last pallet in the shop with a few more were put on the big bench last night to do today.  One was a 68 raider 10, a 312-8, and a rearend to get some parts off of it.  The Raider 10 and 312 got finished up today.  Peeps were calling + coming in today so I didn't get everything done as expected but tomorrow's another day.

I blasted some more parts and was putting them up and a few of them were the tractor arms for the lift.  They go on a pallet on the floor under the pallet racks.  When I was putting them away I found a Fastenal box with a bunch of lift arms + trunnions...  That's where they use to go years ago and I forgot they were there.  I have a place for them in the Fastenal drawers in the back now so they need to be disassembled and put there.  I guess there is still stuff floating around where it doesn't belong.  Just when I was thinking I knew where most everything was.

Worked on other things most of the day but got the lift links cleaned up.  I couldn't believe what these cost at Toro, what a greedy bunch of peeps...     My junk man wants them, peeps that saw them before blasting say it's too much time wasted, but I see them in my mind after they are cleaned up.  I sell them for $10-15 with a new nylock nut depending on condition, that adds up and gets peeps parts for cheap.  They work just as good as a new one too.

I spent some of the day putting blasted + checked parts in the parts dept.  I think tomorrow I'll get back to parting the rest of the stuff hanging around in the shop, even another stuck RJ frame I've been putting off...

I just realized I had not allowed access to the public on the new Big Sale page on the site.  Sorry, too much going on around here.

It should be fixed now where anyone can see it.

I finally dug into the last frame in the shop that was on the big bench.  I did this last Friday because I needed the bench last Sat for some bigger work.  It was bad but not as bad as I thought, didn't even need the torch for this one other than the pedal add on...

The only place the torch had to be used is to get the big piece of steel off of the clutch pedal.  The only way to save it and not cut it up was to heat some of the welds and break them loose.  After that the pedal cleaned up nicely, another part saved.

I brought in a B-80 with a free spinning 8 speed to put on the tester when it's ready to be fired up.  The 2 transmissions in the shop now are locked up so I have to take them apart to see if I can fix them, or if they will be parted out.  I got going like crazy on the B-80 and before I knew it there wasn't much left so it will get completely parted out.  I'm so used to the frozen up messes I've been dealing with lately that this one was down to almost nothing pretty quick.

Someone else called Sat and needs 2 - 8 speed transmissions, now I have to get 5 tested and ready to go.  At least I have plenty to do I guess.
