Leak at the brake
should be 1/8 inch wide around the shaft....

The Toro seals aren't very good, look for a seal #7410. NAPA has them and so do lots of other places.

A little update on the leak........got the seal at Napa put it in and It was leaking some there but the axel also is leaking some...nappypappy wrote:

So who has a parts number at Napa for the axel seal.....at least it looked like there was one......me learning as I go....:smile2

Be sure you remove burrs from the axle before slipping the seal on. Everybody has a method....mine is to remove burrs with some emory cloth and degrease the axle...I start at the tranny end run one layer of masking tape overlapping just a little bit each round....like a barber pole.....then oil the tape up and put a little grease on the seal and slip it over the tape.....seat it with an appropriate length of PVC pipe....dunno the size pipe...I know it just fits right....sorry
Once you oil the tape ya better move because the tape will not hold well very long after the oil soaks in.....
