If you get them in the hive by spring you will have honey in the fall. They are industrious creatures. If you get any sweet tips BEE sure to pass it along.

Since this post I have been kinda busy reading and learning. I located a mentor and have put down money on a northern bred NUC. The mentor is going to help me with a horizontal deep frame hive I am going to build from a design from the net. I am on a waiting list for the bees so I may not get them for sure. Got my hopes up.

Definitely Geno........as always I’m a little anxious about it but I'm sure things will work out. I don't want to fail the little buggers.....

Sounds good Bob, I think you will enjoy it. The apple orchards will benefit as well.

well good luck Bob we can compare progress not long from now
my bees are coming as a 5 frame nuc and due here early may
i am using the standard Langstroth hive 10 frame box
my climate is to cold for a horizontal hive
have you watched any of "the fat bee man" videos on you tube?
more info out on the web than one is able to take in.
www.beesource.com also has lots of info along with self build plans.
we should be able to post some cool pictures for the rest to see before too long
