Carson's C-121 was created by Geno
This one showed up from PA today.  It belonged to Carson's grandfather who had sold it.  They found it being used as lawn art from the person who bought it.  It will take a lot of time to make it right but this one will have some very special NOS things on it that everyone will see as it goes back together.  I have sold some of these non-existing NOS parts before but never got to use them on a restore done here before.  It will take a little longer than usual with the Spring rush here but it will be one of the fancier ones to ever come out of here when done so stay tuned for awhile.

These are just a few pics of what it is now, lots more to come later as usual.

This is definitely going to be the hardest one to get apart and rustiest one I've ever done.  I don't ever keep a 2 lb sledge, cutting disc, impact driver on the cart when doing a disassemble. It usually takes about 30 mins to get one apart for a decent steam cleaning, I've been on this one for hours and it's not even close to apart yet...

I have a ton of pics but it's late again so there will just be the customary 8 here and more tomorrow.  Most everything is rust pitted or will be unusable once apart.  This is supposed to be a show quality restore but at this point I'm not sure what will be left of grand dad's tractor that's original once it's all torn down.

I did a little damage to the Brinley hitch rear corners with a 2 lb sledge just getting it down far enough to remove the clevis for the hitch, and the through pin never budged.  If the inside of the transmission looks anything like the shifter that's not good either.

I had planned on steam cleaning it tomorrow but it's taking to long to get it apart and some parts need to be thrown away, not cleaned.  With so many bad parts it's getting torn down completely and them steam clean what is usable.  She's definitely coming apart the hard way.  More updates tomorrow.

All of these pics were taken yesterday.  The steps and covers had to come off in 1 piece so the bolts could be cut off from the backside, not one of the easier things to do.  In the first pic I sure am glad no one was home...

The rest of the pics either show what it was before, the condition some things are in, and some are of it coming apart.

More to come tomorrow.

These pics are from Wed and yesterday.  A little more of taking things apart and condition.  The first pic shows a few pieces of wood, they were wedged along side the fuel tank to keep the holder straight because a few of the bolts were stripped out that hold the rear fender on. In the same pic you can see the brake lining is broken loose from the steel band.  Other parts have a lot of rust and will be pitted badly when blasted.

The second pic shows that the engine has been run really hot.  The end of the muffler pipe is white and the paint on the air cleaner cover above the pipe was heated up so much it peeled the paint.  The engine has pretty much no compression that we found out when Carson was here.  It's ashamed because this was a new spec engine at one point so now it needs engine #3.

The fuel lines are I don't even know what,  PTO swivel is bent, it has a 1/2" drive belt on it instead of 5/8", the exhaust cut is rough, wiring is melted, and a few other things that can be seen in the pics.  It's evident someone has been doing a lot of the wrong things to this poor little Horse...

The 2 pics before the last just show more condition and the tube and pipe for the rear lift cable are basically rusted together.  She's pretty rough to say the least.     The last pic shows the stripped out threads on the fuel tank/rear fender cover.

More coming tomorrow.

These pics are from Thursday.  Looking in the carb the first thing I thought of was Halloween lol.     In the second pic I think if gas sits long enough it all evaporates minus the oil it was made from.

In the 3rd pic everything is good on the left side, the hub was just really stuck like everything else.  Looking at the 4th pic, on the right side there's damage to the axle shaft key way and the hub had been replaced to a dual lock.  The rest of the pics are just more disassembly and the pile of rust.  I had already cleaned it up once before...  Everything is still coming the hard way.

From the looks of that and the time to restore it wouldnt he be better off finding another one.
Seams like that would cost way more than its worth so i hope he has deep pockets.
My 2 cents
