Customer 1054 Restoration

This is one for one of our customers, we will be restoring the tractor and rebuilding the engine. She's already had a good bath.

The engine looked great inside, only problem is the PTO Clutch side of the pulley got loose and ate up the crank, key, and the inner part of the pulley. This one will just get honed and get an .003 Kohler piston kit , a good used crank, and all the gaskets + seals.

Got started on the cleaning tonight.

A little more washing this morning, all the little places I couldn't get with the motor assembled and on the tractor.

That's the kind of project I really enjoy, the customer should be very pleased with the finished product.

The thing that was most ashamed was that the crank looked brand new inside, but the PTO damaged the outside.

We started on the tractor prep this morning. Sandra was done with all the blasting in a few hours. I've got all the metal stripped on the fender pan and hood stand, working on the rest of the frame now and will have it painted before I leave tonight. Will probably get Sandra to help me paint the wheels tonight also. Would have gotten most of it done today but it's Monday which equals wild phone day lol.

Someone also came today and bought my little 653 tricycle, I miss it already.

Frame, tires + wheels are done. Will start on the other pieces tomorrow. Really liking the new paint.

By new paint do you mean ( just applied ) or are you using a different brand of paint . I know you like Krylon, wondering if you found something you like better. By the way it looks great..
