Bolted up the new carb. How sweet is that thing!!

No choke No throttle, turned the key and the engine started up with a sweet little idle. Music to my ears..

I have a video of it running with my daughter driving it around. Once its done processing I will post it here. Here are some pics of the carb while we wait for the video upload.

Glad you got it. If it starts good and runs good I wouldn't dare touch the adjustments.

Well there still is an issue...

It seems that the governor has an issue. Every time I try to rev it up, it dies. Still can't cut grass with it. I just don't know enough about how they work to start messing with it.

I tried to suck as much information about them as I could from Major while at the show. It's just hard to work on these since I've never seen one that ran smooth, so I'm never sure whats good or whats bad. :rolling :angry2 :help

AJ it's probably not a problem with the governor. Don't be afraid to adjust the jets, starting with the main. Open it up 1/4 turn and see if it improves the high speed performance and go from there. A little tuning and you'll have it running like a pickle seeder!

Give Major's idea a shot AJ. The adjustment is the one under the bowl, 1/4 turn CCW looking at it from the bottom.

I tried a few adjustments. Nothing successful yet. :angry2 same result.

I will mess with it some more tonight.

These are cold natured rascals AJ, give it 5 minutes or so to warm up before you do any adjusting. Keep us posted!
