Working on the Wheel Horse 4937 Spacer. I need to ship out a few of these next week so they will be in the store shortly. I have something that works nicely for this and is the same OD and a little smaller ID which is good considering the original was a little too loose around the 3/8" bolt.
It will prob be sold separately for other uses and also as a kit with the bushing, bolt, and lock nut for the seat flip setups. The parts breakdown pics are below.
Here is the making of it. Very little cleanup cutting them on the lathe with a parting tool, and it's easy to get the width right at close to .3000" give or take a few thousandths like you can see on the DRO.
They actually thread on the 3/8" bolt lightly because of the seam in the pipe but can easily be done by hand. I'm not sure if I'll leave them that way or run a boring bar in them while they're on the lathe first to get rid of that.
Made a few of these today and have a system down. The lip is getting cleaned inside with a boring bar, the tooling was ground to cut the new piece a few thousandths quicker than the piece in the chuck, and the cutting is getting done at a higher speed. Now there is no cleanup and they look really nice when done.
They will be in the store next week along with some other things.
