Time to service the C-101 today. With 32 hours since last years rebuild on the meter and 25 since the last service it was time to get dirty. Greased the axle, spindles, wheels and steering sector. Checked the trans fluid level and cleaned the air pre-filter and blew out the paper filter. I do not oil the pre-filter as I've found that the oil leeches into the paper filter and shortens its usable life.
Get out the tools for the oil change including the handy little oil trough which makes changing oil with a deck on a snap.

2-1/2 quarts of oil and a new sticker under the hood and the old horse is good for another 25 hours.

Putting the wrench size along with oil capacity on the sticker helps out for next time, especially if you're like me and can't remember what you had for breakfast :rolling3

I should have posted this earlier, here's what the drain trough looks like in its entirety. Can't remember where it came from but it's been around for a long time.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

If I had one of those I'd know it. I thought about just cutting a piece of PVC pipe in half for starters, then I would have 2. :thumb
