Well I wasn't sure where to put this question so here it is.
I need to replace muffler but the screws on the block are allen or are pretty rusty and no allen I have will turn them.
So what should I do next heat them up or what?

Pappy are you going to replace it with another factory muffler or a stack? With the stack you could just cut the heads off the bolts and use the pipe threads in the cylinder casting. Otherwise heat, penetrating oil, cussing, drilling and tapping are required.

You might try a ratchet with the right sized Allen head socket on a impact gun. Soak with wd40 or whatever you like for a few days first...heating the block in that area will help too

There's room for all god's creatures ..... next to the mashed potatoes (and possibly bbq'd)

The only thing you left out Major is more cussing. :rolling

If you want to try something easy and hope for the best Nappy you can run it till it's hot and try a good pair of vice grips. Try not to twist off the head so you don't have to go through the drilling, cussing, tapping and more cussing part. :rolling2

I have an extractor that will fit over those. The impact usually pops them right out, most of the time anyway. Heat is one key, and like Blue said, the hammer action is the other. :)

ok thanks everybody..not sure which way I will go yet but they have to come out....I like the stack the best....I have plenty of allens both standard and metric but
none are a tight fit...

put the tightest allen wrench in the bolt and use a good set of vice grips over the head and use both to try and crack it loose. A impact really helps in these situation.

no luck yet....been putting oil on them........I like that stack thanks.
