Rust hates apple vinegar

Most of you probably know all the uses for vinegar, here's another one. When i am not in a hurry to clean small rusty parts for painting i submerge the item in a container of (apple vinegar) with 5% acid content. usually soaking overnight does the trick. Apple vinegar works best, don't bother with regular vinegar. You will be amazed at the result and clean up is easy just rinse with water, dry and prime. I forgot to mention you must first remove any grease or oil from the part so the vinegar can attack the rust.

Here's a scrap piece of metal I put in vinegar over night, big difference.
