Changing new member approval

We just had our first spammer. They were just selling something in Russian text, not a big deal but it may become so. I'm changing the site to manual approval this morning so it or something more offensive can't happen again.

Probably Russian brides.....

People can still join but I have to approve each one manually now. It used to be set up where after someone clicked on the registration email it would automatically let them in. Not any more lol.

I agree with Nappy

They were sporadic registering over the past several weeks with weird email addresses, that's what caught my attention. Then when I deleted the ones already registered with the weird emails 6 new ones showed up in the last 2 days. Oh well, too late lol.

Here's a screen shot of the back end of the site. I think only 2 of these may be valid, the rest are spammers trying to get in, and all these in the past 4 days... The ones that have the X near the names are unapproved even though they say registered.

7 more last night. What's the matter with people lol.
