@justinw.73 did you ever get this video worked out? Really would like to see it. Even a detailed parts list also.

I haven’t been able to do a video since it’ll have to be done over YouTube. All the items were either bought off Amazon or stuff I had laying around. I used a motor and gear box combo and made a bracket. That motor and bracket got bolted onto the existing holes that held on the bracket for the hand crank. I then chopped off the crank rod and spindle, leaving about 1/2 inch or so on the end. I bought a coupler that would also adapt the 8mm shaft of the motor to the 1/2 rod. As you can see in the pic, the spool now sits on the top of the blower instead of out the back. I found an old muffler clamp, cut to length, and welded it to the body of the blower. This is the new cable guide since the old ones can’t be used. The just wrap the cable around like from the factory and it’s good to go. It’s a little on the slow side, but the motor has a ton of torque. I had a bad spot on a part of the cable (wasn’t even cut half way) and the motor had enough torque to snap it the rest of the way. The motor I used wasn’t waterproof but I’ve used it a couple times and the snow has cover the motor completely with no issues yet. I plan on also installing an actuator to angle the deflector. And I plan on using a 4 wire trailer connector to easily connect and disconnect the snowblower from the tractor.

It was rated at 16rpm. I feel that 25-30 rpm would be better. I can make a list of stuff I used later if you want.

I put some screenshots below of what I used. I also used a regular dpdt momentary switch.

Thanks again. I have all the parts picked out except for a few minor items. You can’t imagine what this is going to a person.
