My new favorite caliper was created by Geno
I have always wanted a digital one that does fractions and finally found one on clearance from one of my suppliers with a price I could live with. Price - $20.00. :woo

cool never ran across one that reads out in fractions...
but its just plain amazing what can be made today at little cost,
you paid $20 for it and the seller still made money as did the maker of it.
30 years ago i bought a mitutoyo "dial" caliper that was top notich because it was just a 0.100 per rev.
paid well over $100 for it and took fire because it was imported
my son once referred to a micrometer as this" C clamp thing"
i hate to say it i am getting old and times are changing

I picture Geno laying out air lines with a michinists level and laser transit
than cutting pipe to size to be checked with his new calipers.

Who told you I would do that?! :ignore

OK, I guess I do stuff like that, I sorta did the shop air lines like that and have those tools, and an electric pipe threader. But, if I could find someone else to do things halfway right I wouldn't have all these tools and all this work to do! I think you know the feeling... :rolling

I hear you Geno sometimes it just dont pay.
Pride mixxed with talent and common cents arent such a bad thing.

i am sure anyone of us on here has regret hiring out work.
been in spots that were so bad i could not even reuse anything.
having to redo a job hurts
but paying for labor and buying parts twice sucks.

Very cool caliper! That's a tool I use almost daily but I wouldn't know how to act if mine read fractions.:smile2

I just wanted fractions so I could nudge it a little open or closed to see what it's close to in 16ths. Quicker than going to a calculator or computer. :)
