Walked out the back door this morning and saw these. First thing I thought of was a Pink Floyd Album cover. They were only within a few miles of me in each direction and have never seen anything like them. The pics are awesome so you can only image what they looked like for real!
The first pic at the bottom is the front, then right behind it was all the others. Looks like another world.

That album would have been "Obscured by Clouds" in 1972! :smile2
Not a super popular album but there are some great tunes on that one. If I recall that album was actually for a soundtrack to a movie.r
Yup for a french film: Obscured by Clouds

Those really are bizarre looking clouds. I think I might have hesitated on going outside..

Cool pics Geno. Being an old amateur radio storm spotter I would guess those to be the early stages of cold air funnels, not a real threat, just look pretty wicked..

They are the talk of this area and the weather channel it seems. We are in an area that gets tornadoes and weird weather that only stretches about a mile in each direction, must be the lay of the land or something. This was a little more widespread I'm finding out on this one. Never a drop of rain until after they were gone and the Sun came out really bright, while the sun was out shining bright we got a quick shower with really big drops and a nice rainbow. You can even see the drops in the pic but it only lasted 5 mins and was gone. Great start to the week!
I love this stuff and yes, I could be a storm chaser!
