Turning a Brinley Cultivator into a Wheel Horse

As many of you know Brinley made a lot of Wheel Horse attachments at one point. The only difference in the Brinley cultivator and the Wheel Horse AC-7 was the hitch and decals. These were going to be used on a 1054 and who wants to constantly change out the slot hitch with a Brinley adapter when you can make the attachment a Wheel Horse...

Not a bad job but it does take some expensive steel... On the other hand the iron worker made it quick and easy making the parts. :smile2

I feel your pain needed a stick of 1/2 x 2 x 20.5 foot hot roll
to make some brackets for new seed drill
what should of been $45 -/+ i paid $68 customer pick up

Cold rolled is even crazier let alone the 1/16th sizes... I'm hoping that things will go back down or get back to the old normal one day soon but that outlook isn't looking very good either.

as steel goes i am blessed living where i do.
in genera prices are up around 50%, like everything these days
but local pricing is based by the pound and not as much the size
living in a area of heavy industry has its benefits

on the other hand don't even think about buying lumber, price gouging going on for sure
copper wire last year 12 gauge 500ft roll was $50 now $118
was going to reroute a water line at the farm till i got a price on 400ft of 4 inch pvc

lots of projects getting put on hold here on the farm and at work because of the new prices
