Whats the serial number on that thing?

I thought the 701's had a full hood..... (not split with a gas tank?) :confused1 :help

Not sure where you got that idea. all 701's have the split gas tank. It was the 1st WH to have that hood. there also was no grille, that was a problem with heat so in 1962 they had a grille. the serial number is #57078

All the 7xx series except the 704. also some of the 6xx series 633 & 653 have the split hood.
