ONAN

Well the onan started surging awhile back in the summer and i did put a new carb on it but that didnt helped much.
Also its not charging the battery.....surging is the biggest problem and just not sure what to look for that is causing it.
Any help or what to look for?

Sorry so late Nappy, I was at the new Chiropractor yesterday morning getting a complete exam + adjustment, then groc shopping on the way back, then the afternoon went crazy from there...  This morning I went for my license renewal and the eye machine tester was wacky so now I have to get an eye exam in Frankfort Thursday morning.  It's the earliest I could find before my license expires...  

If you can choke it a little and the surge goes away it's a fuel problem.  9 times out of 10 it's the carb.  If you put a new made in China carb on it it can still be a carb issue, just a bad part.  That's why I quit the auto repair business...  

Charging system has a fuse.  It's most likely the engine wiring connector burned up or fuse block.  All those pain in the butt problems I tell everyone will happen after buying those tractors.  It's never a question of will it happen, just a matter of when it will happen lol.
