I will be working on Opening up the Site and Forum today. The registration link will be put back up and set to self approval. I have never done this before now. This means that as soon as they sign up they will get a link via email that when they click it they are in.

It may mean that some meanness or spammers may get in so I will need to add several new moderators to help keep the place clean, which has always been my priority.

What has prompted this is all of the control, censoring, indoctrination, and lawlessness promoted by some of the big media sites like FB, Twitter, YouTube, etc. It seems that if you do or say what's wrong or unlawful it's ok, but if you try to go by the law and the truth it is censored. They are not only going after these people, but I see it as they are coming after people like you and me that share the same morals, beliefs, and truths. This is one nation under God and it is time for me anyway, to take a stand.

All I want to do is help people with, and talk about the Horses without all the other distractions on these other sites. I have the place to do it and I hope more people will get involved and do it here in a good, safe, and helpful atmosphere that we can all enjoy.

I will update this post as things come together.

As a side note this will open up many more possibilities and ease of getting help. There are of course plenty of Wheel Horse sections, a general talk section a hidden members only section, a classifieds section, etc. Not only will this place be much more full featured but it will make it much easier to find things via the separate sections, or through the search function.

I think I have it. There is a "Login" at the top right in the main menu, and a "create an account" near the forum login. We will see here shortly.

I just learned something from someone signing up so thought I would mention it here.

When registering the “confirm email” and “confirm password” automatically fill in, but in order to get it to go through they still need to be filled in again manually. This is a part of what the operating system and browser combination are doing and it's too much work to fix in the code for now.

If it still doesn't go through it may also be that the Captcha isn't happy, that happens to me on a lot of other sites as well.

I'm experimenting with registration again... It's becoming too time consuming to weed out the spammers. The "Create an account" has been removed from the forum near the login information. I left the register button at the top main menu, for now lol. We'll see how that works and go from there.

So far the last solution is working well, not a single spammer has even tried to register.

Evidently the spam bots or peeps are just looking for the forum registration and aren't seeing the one in the menu. I hope I didn't just jinx myself but most of them are prob from spam bots not looking any further than the normal forum register button.
