1960 Suburban with "custom" woops the original owner forgot to add oil after a change, Briggs motor. Looking for original K91 or HH55 for this one as well as a belt guard and exhaust shield. I am scheduled to have a week or so off coming up, so perhaps this and the 12 can get some well deserved attention. I knew I would fall in love with one of these little guys if I ever

You got a really good deal on that one, but the only way to come out on it is part it out. I passed on it because of the engine cost and difficulty to find, the wrong front wheels and hubs, no belt guard, and so many other things that it would take to make that one right.

You need a H55B-1170 or a K91-31388A to make it correct. Incredibly hard finds to get the numbers right and may cost about 4-5 times what the tractor cost (the higher price in the title of his ad) for a cheap one. I just paid more than that last week for a correct K91. :surprised

Yeah I went ahead and took it simply because of the new Carlisle tires all the way around, the lack of rust, and the fact that it's just a neat little piece that I didn't have to drive 10 hours for. It's so hard to find anything to just go and pick up locally...this one doesn't bother me to have mismatched parts. Contrary to some of my other interests, this one is just to putt around the yard and nothing more. Never plan to have any attachments for it or anything, just enjoy having one for the first time. I actually got the current Briggs motor running with a few minutes of tinkering, and the custom toggle switch on the hood even works. The fuel tank is rusty inside and can't be original, but I have an OEM tank that is near mint. The filter was clogged on the tractor, so I bypassed and put a go kart tank on it and ran it for about 15 minutes before I had to hit the road. My son and father love the thing, although baby girl doesn't respond to it as she does the 12. Oh well...as we discussed, this isn't for her at all. I'll likely enjoy looking at it for a while, then part ways with it for something else.

Good to hear Jeff. :smile2 K91's are the easier to find out there if you don't need matching numbers. I'll keep my eyes peeled. :thumb1
