Project Clydesdale

I really shouldn't be wasting time with this but it is so much fun, and I need some fun lol...

I had a few tractors that I brought over from the farm for this, 1 had no motor, it was originally an Onan, what else is new lol. The other was really rough but had a good drive train. I posted a pic of them the other day after they were pressure washed. Surely they would be good for something. :confused1

Nice I'm sure with your talent there will be something fantastic come out when all said and done.

Here is some of the progression from yesterday and this morning. Frame is stripped down minus the rear pegs that I may use. The front steering bracket that was removed was cut down and moved to the rear. The steering fan was removed, it needs to be flipped the other direction. I also made a few 1/4" steel brackets to hold some things...

I should have the frame portion of the steering done by lunch today.

Main steering is all done and easy to separate. Fan to gear adjustment is all done by the collar and thrust washer, easier than factory and all done with Wheel Horse parts. I'm really trying to make this project almost all Wheel Horse parts. In case you haven't guessed this project will need to steer from the rear lol.

Frame is blasted + painted.

Got most of the joint done, just needs cleanup, blasting + paint.

The joint is cleaned up and painted. I'm moving slow today, there's been a lot calls and peeps stopping in. I also know why I never do total nut and bolt restorations. I knew I would tend to go crazy and have to do each individual piece and no one can afford that lol. Do you know how many parts are in the front tach-a-matic alone? :rolling

It should be pretty cool, but it will be pretty time consuming as well...

I am proud of my mount, as simple as it gets and does all directions.
